Policy gap analyses of Project countries for the protection of dugong and seagrass
February 07, 2019
The Project Coordination Team in Abu Dhabi commissioned a report on gaps policy for the protection of dugong and seagrass in all eight project countries. In this report, project countries representatives analysed the current state of dugong populations and seagrass habitat using the Drivers, Pressures, State, Impact and Response (DPSIR) Model.
The purpose of this report is to provide an independent review of policy gap analyses conducted by the eight project countries related to this project component. In addition, this report seeks to provide an overview across the project countries to support future actions under the Conservation and Management Plan for the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation and Management of Dugongs (Dugong dugon) and their Habitats throughout their Range.
