Alternative livelihoods: Spirulina project off to a good start in Solomon Islands

May 08, 2018

As part of a new initiative in Alternative Livelihoods, EnerGaia are making progress developing a new Spirulina farming project in the Solomon Islands for coastal communities. Prior to launching the project EnerGaia made two visits to assess needs and feasibility of the project. EnerGaia is currently targeting to send its first shipment of equipment in June or July 2018 and get the first training farm operational by the end of 2018. EnerGaia met with several strategic partners including Kokonut Pacific Solomon Islands (KPSI) with whom they may share office space, lab facilities and logistics.

Good Luck EnerGaia – we look forward to working with you on this initiative.
