Second Executive Project Steering Committee of the DSCP met in KL in November 2016

The Second Executive Project Steering Committee Meeting of the Dugong and Seagrass Conservation Project occured in November 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the Royale Chulan Damansara hotel.

The meeting was attended by UNEP representative–UNEP/GEF Task Manager, the CMS Dugong MoU Secretariat, members of the Dugong Technical Group, CMS national Dugong Focal Points/Chairs of National Facilitating Committees in the Project Countries, members from the Executing Agency –The Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund and the Project Coordination Team.

The main objective of the EPSC 2 meeting was to gather all EPSC members to assess the overall progress of the national projects in the eight Project Countries under the Dugong and Seagrass Conservation Project, and to provide guidance to the Project on a global level.

While this was the second meeting of the EPSC, the first EPSC meeting took place on 22 October 2015 in Colombo, Sri Lanka and was held back-to-back with the Project Inception Workshop.

The Dugong Focal Point from each of the eight countries participating in the Dugong and Seagrass Conservation Project presented the status of projects in their respective countries. These presentations are available via the links below:
