Japan’s national public broadcaster features Sri Lanka dugong and seagrass projects (watch)

May 24, 2017

The national public broadcasting company of Japan, NHK, featured our Sri Lanka dugong and seagrass projects! You can view the 4.5 minute video in the frame below or follow this link: https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/news/videos/20170523213526459/

Their wonderful documentary highlights the work of all our Sri Lankan parters. Watch the team dive to the sea bottom in search of the elusive dugong and sample seagrass beds. Visit local boutiques where garments are sewn as part of an incentive programme from LK7.

We are very proud of this short documentary. On a global scale, this is potentially the most attention the project has received. The reach of NHK is very broad and wide.

Congratulations to our Sri Lanka Team and thanks goes out to the UN Environment team who organized this media trip.

Enjoy the show!
